The beginning of the month presented some of the last sunny days of summer and what better way to greet the last of the warm weather than a outdoor music festival. The Parklife gourmet Food and Music Festival was held at the Greenpoint Cricket Club in Cape Town on the 2ndof May. The day started off with a slight drizzle but towards the early afternoon clouds disappeared and it turned into a lovely warm afternoon - perfect for a picnic on the lawn with some live entertainment.
The festival brought us two international acts and a couple of local favourites. PH Phat fuelled the afternoon with some well styled rap tunes energising the crowd as people still filtered into the event grounds.
American Authors, all the way from Brookly USA, kept the spirits high with some lively alternative rock ’n roll. Vocalist, Zac Bennet, had everybody dancing with his positive energy and uplifting lyrics. The four piece band were elated to be on African soil and the crowd was most certainly mirroring their enthusiasm. The Cape Town favourite Jeremy loops jived us into the evening with some of his signature tracks as the sun set and the moon rose over the Greenpoint Stadium.
